Four time Ironman New Zealand champion Joanna Lawn will share her training secrets as she chases a record seventh win in Taupo this year.

Lawn today signed a sponsorship with BodySmart which launched a new website that will share all of Lawn’s preparations over her final two weeks before the race.

“It’s the question I get more than anything else from athletes and that’s what do you do in the final days before the race,” Lawn said.

“Most athletes have training programmes or coaches to get them into the right shape to handle something like an Ironman.

“But how you taper and how you prepare yourself to handle the huge mental test is something totally different. That’s what we are going to share with this site through the BodySmart Endurance experience.”

The site will also track Lawn’s 2007 season building towards the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii this October which the public can follow on http://bodysmart.co.nz/.

Lawn has also received new sponsorship support from other New Zealand companies including food company, SunReal, which specializes in package cereals, dried fruit, nuts, and SNAK N GO.

Asics is now supplying Lawn’s running footwear and 2XU performance apparel and wetsuits for the 2007 and 2008 season.
